Athletes headed to USA Games

Jamestown's Skylar Lux, Heather Martell and Myron Houser, pictured left to right, have been chosen to represent Team North Dakota at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games on July 1-6 in Seattle, Wash. Martell, a track and field athlete who has competed in Iowa and Nebraska, will be competing in the women's 200 meters, shot put and will run a leg in the women's 4x100 relay for Team North Dakota. Lux, a track and field athlete attending his first USA Games, will be competing in the men's 200 meters, shot put and will run a leg in the men's 4x100 relay for Team North Dakota. Houser, also competing in his first USA Games, will be competing with Team North Dakota in men's basketball. Team North Dakota is sending 33 athletes and eight coaches to compete in basketball, bowling, powerlifting, unified bocce, unified flag football and track and field. Submitted photo
