Four Jays remain alive at WDA tennis
Jamestown High School's Isaac Mimong, Ryder Pringle and the doubles' teams of Ryder Lunzman/Kaden Williams and Kaden Schmidt/Gage Orr all remain alive after Friday's opening round of the West Region boys tennis tournament.
Third-seed Isaac Mimong defeated Century's Roey Rennich in the second round (5-7,6-3, 7-6) after receiving a bye. Minot's Rory Taney defeated the junior in straight during the quarterfinals.
Ryder Pringle also found himself in the winners bracket but fell to Century's Mason Pitcher in another quarterfinal match. If the sophomore and Mimong both won their respective matches, they'd be playing each other in today's semis.
Both doubles teams suffered opening round losses but scored consolation round victories to stay alive. Play from Minot begins at 10 a.m. today.
