Nebraska football coach's home burglarized, 14 rings stolen
LINCOLN, Neb.—More than $165,000 in sports memorabilia was stolen from the vacant home of Nebraska football coach Scott Frost over the weekend, according to multiple reports.
Police said burglars entered the garage of Frost's home in Lincoln sometime between Friday night and Sunday evening. The garage was unlocked, and the items reportedly were stored in boxes.
Frost hadn't completed his list of missing items as of Monday morning, but so far, police said he reported missing 14 championship rings spanning his playing days and coaching career: two from Nebraska, 10 from Oregon and two from Central Florida. He also reported five pairs of Air Jordan shoes and a gaming console as missing.
The home is still undergoing renovations, so his family has yet to move in.
A former Nebraska quarterback and a native of the state, Frost is in his first season with the Cornhuskers. In the 2017 season, he led Central Florida to a 13-0 season, which included a win over Auburn in the Peach Bowl.
