Bravo to JHS hall inductees
The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:
*Bravo to the voter turnout for the special election this week. The school referendum for Jamestown Public School District saw 3,909 votes cast in unofficial results. That turnout is much higher than the 2015 referendum, which saw 1,953 votes cast. And it was greater than the June primary election, when 3,517 ballots were cast by Stutsman County residents.
*Bravo to two churches in Jamestown celebrating milestones recently. St. Paul’s Methodist Church marked 135 years on Sept. 23 and also the United Methodist Church’s 50th anniversary. Jamestown First Assembly also celebrated its 75th anniversary on Sept. 23.
*Bravo to the 13 inductees into the Jamestown High School Athletic Hall of Fame. They are: Paul Anderson, Doug Beaudoin, Phil Boerger, Bryan Erstad, Sean Fredericks, Jenny Gackle, Dave Greenwood, Clay Kendall, Lauren Sukut, Judy Hager, Ted Wahl, Dan White and Coach Ron Zehren. The group was inducted on Friday. They join the 20 other people who were inducted last year when the Jamestown High School Athletic Hall of Fame was founded.
