Recycling building review complete
An architectural review of the former Coca-Cola building planned for use by the Recycling Center of North Dakota has been approved, according to Tom Blackmore, Jamestown city building inspector.
The plan was required before a certificate of occupancy would be issued after a discussion at the Aug. 21 Public Works Committee meeting.
The review is required anytime there is a change in occupancy of a building that affects the level of risk to workers and first responders to the building.
Blackmore said the review found the need for additional exit and emergency lighting and fire extinguishers, which are being installed.
