Government- Of, by, and for the rich

The latest tax legislation is a very disturbing bill, made out to be a stimulant to the economy. What doesnt get much attention is what they did to enrich themselves and their wealthy donors. Corporate tax rates dropped significantly. The problem here is our cost of living and our operating expenses has exploded in recent years. Everything from light bulbs to washing machines, batteries to razors, is now disposable junk with a very short life span. Many things built back in the 40s and 50s lasted decades. The poor quality of these items, most of which are foreign made, is exactly what big business (corporations) demands. In farming, as I am, the seed industry, namely Monsanto, basically has a monopoly and reaps $40 of every acre. Fertilizer, chemical, fuel, and tire suppliers have little to no competition. Regulation of profit can only be done through the tax code. The Estate tax exemption went up to $22 million, and the AMT, enacted to make sure the wealthiest pay their fair share, was eliminated completely. Of President Trumps 2005 tax returns, $31 of $38 million in taxes were of the AMT. These are permanent tax cuts while your $100 per paycheck is only temporary!! And you think the Republican party has you in mind... Think about how little you really matter so they can secure their own agenda. While doing this, they have handed your children an additional $2,000,000,000,000 in debt!! My strong view of Patriotism is paying your fair share of taxes, not just merely words, nor judging others based upon YOUR interpretation.
