T.J.Maxx opening Nov. 8

T.J.Maxx will open in the Buffalo Mall in Jamestown on Nov. 8, the company said. The store will carry fashion and accessories as well as jewelry, home, beauty, pet products, toys and more.

"Our newest store in Jamestown will offer an ever-changing selection of high-quality, on-trend and brand-name merchandise at the amazing prices T.J.Maxx is known for.," said Tim Miner, president, T.J.Maxx.

Local shoppers can celebrate the newest location at the Nov. 8 opening starting at 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Reusable bags will be given to the first 500 customers.

The 20,000-square-foot store will have regular hours from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays.

T.J.Maxx offers merchandise from top designers and brands. T.J.Maxx buyers work with thousands of brands and designers from around the world to score the most desirable merchandise at prices that work for shoppers. Buyers shop year round, not just seasonally, to take advantage of merchandise opportunities as they arise.

In addition to providing a new shopping option for local residents, the new store plans to add approximately 60 full- and part-time jobs to the area.

In celebration of its new Jamestown location, T.J.Maxx will contribute to the surrounding community by presenting a $10,000 donation to Community Action at the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 8. The new store will also join all other stores nationwide in sponsoring Save the Children's U.S. programs. T.J.Maxx also supports Save the Children, Autism Speaks and Joslin Diabetes Center with annual in-store fundraising campaigns.
